Fashion: All The Warm Tones Please

Hello everyone!

WHY HAS IT SUDDENLY BECOME A DEATHLY SIBERIAN FREEZER OUTSIDE?

(moved on)

So a little life update for you, I am completely in looooove with my new job, like actually obsessed. I even get excited on Sunday nights. I know. I know. But I do, even when I get home from work all I do is think about it. Which is good and bad as it means I never switch off. I do however feel incredibly lucky to be given such an opportunity to love what you do. I work with cosmetics now which has heavily influenced my blog hence all the makeup posts! Fashion will forever and always be my number one though, which is why HURRAH, today I finally shot some blog outfit photos. Which is a hell of a lot harder to do than a simple makeup photo. For one you have to actually go outside. Eww.

I must admit having recently come back from Florida I am ridiculously underprepared for winter. I feel like I was at living it large at the beach one moment then rushed to the cold harsh rush hour tube life. Which means my clothing is stuck in sunny beach life also. At the moment these photos are a reflection of what I've been hiding in. Jumpers and trousers, not very original but not quite a onesie so I'm doing good. Pushing boundaries etc. I definitely need to stock up on some more winter gear as life without hats and scarfs is not ideal.

Jacket: Primark £25
Blazer: Topshop £45
Jumper: ASOS £18
Trousers: Missguided £25
Trainers: ASOS £15
Bag: New Look £17
Rings: Multipack H&M £8

These silky bad boys are from ASOS and I absolutely fell for the colour and texture of the trousersjust need the suit jacket to match... I am a complete short ass though and these fit amazing so maybe one to watch for my taller sisters out there. Speaking of ASOS, these funky princess unicorn style trainers are from there too! Honestly haven't left my feet since first purchase. Some people love em, some hate em.

Overall warm tones are life and I need more of them in my life, including a more practical winter coat, let me know if you have any good suggestions on where to buy one that isn't £10889675.

Have a FABULOUS week guys!

Beauty: New Brand First Impressions

Hello everyone!

Hope you guys have all had the most fabbiest of fabby weeks. This post is going to be a first impression on a makeup brand I have been dying to try. If you are a fan of the highlighted/sweaty/soaked in gold look then you may have heard of them. BECCA....

Becca Cosmetics is a beautiful brand, I first found them in Sephora but you can find them online here too and for UK people on Beauty Bay or Cult Beauty. Thank sweet baby Jesus for these sites. I am seriously thinking about moving to America, their beauty range is just beyond.

I bought these two things in the Florida Mall Sephora....oh how it feels like a decade since Florida, and the staff were super lovely! I was keen to try this brand out and explained to them that I have dry crocodile skin etc which led me to the first item.

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfecter in Opal:

First of all, wow. This cream is so soft, velvet, hydrating and does not cake up or ball up on the skin. It will not highlight any fine lines wrinkles or pores too! This is the first step to the ultimate highlight. Pop this on straight to freshly cleansed and moisurised skin and gently tap it into the high points of the face. Not, all over. I got waaaaaay to carried away and eager the first time and ended up looking like an oil slick... This stuff seriously works and is beaut. The shade I picked was Opal.

Becca Highlighting powder in Moonstone:

At first I went in to search for the super famous champagne pop which is Jacqueline hill's collab with Becca, however being the pale casper that I am without tan, I opted for a highlighter that would compliment my pale and interesting look. I do love a tan but right now the effort of putting tan on is just too much. Too much.  So with this stuff I basically bathe in it. I highlight any area that would get sunshine if I stayed somewhere hot. AKA the nose tip and bridge, brow bone, cupids bow, cheeks and forehead!

This powder is a gorgeous cross between gold, white frost and champagne literally so beaut. This is equally good if you want some intense highlight i.e. strobing and is perfect for layering over a cream highlighter like the one above.

Good little tip here, if you want to intensify the highlight spritz on some fix plus by MAC or my all time favourite Smashbox Primer water. That highlight will be POPPING.

See yous in my next post!

Beauty: Anastasia Beverly Hills

Hello everyone!

So long time no see... Basically I have finally found myself a new full time job HURRAH, which I love and am obsessed with. However this has meant that most of my free time is now gone and has left my blogging schedule pretty limited. With this being said I have figured out a way to shoot during the weekends and schedule hopefully around 2 posts a week so thank you so much for being so patient with me. Also hello to all my new followers, i'm not usually so bad at posts I promise!

Also I know this is another beauty related post but I am really loving everything beauty related and it has become such a passion of mine and an industry I want to learn more about. This being said I still love love love fashion and will still be a fashion blog with some beauty thrown in too. More the merrier. Next weekend I will be doing some outfit shoots for you all as I have just done a big Missguided and ASOS haul, whoop whoop.

So as my last post was heavily warm toned I thought it would be good to work it, flip reverse it and do a cool toned smokey eye thats wearable for day and night. I still need to work on my eyeliner skillz, that shit gotta be able to cut a bitch. In more civilised terms I want it straight and pointy as. I was inspired by this look mainly by the pink champagne shade in the new ABH Self Made palette which is just glitter shimmer goodness. If you are a magpie like me you will NEED it.

The four shades I used were

1 Sherbet
2 Hot Chocolate
3 Metallic Plum
4 Pink Champagne

The palette is sold on beauty bay for all you UK peeps, and is completely worth the money. I think it was around £20 ish and the colours are to die for, I can tell I'm already going to get so much use out of it. It has mattes, shimmers, base and crease colours, perf.

I also used false lashes, the demi whispies by allure my absolute fave and on my lips is the new NYX creme lipsticks which was gifted to me by my lovely mua friend Emily. HOLY SMOKES it is beautiful. The most buttery texture and stays on your lips all day, through eating and talking. I eat and talk a lot so this is insane. These lipsticks are super affordable too so I am literally going to collect the lot. The shade is Abu Dhabi or code SMLC09.

I hope you guys enjoy the look and forgive me for being a bad blogger!
